CSA began development of its 3D intelligent modeling technology Plant/CMS™ in 1976, initially for interference verification. CSA continued to establish its modeling service division to create highly complex 3D plant models using this platform. Plant/CMS™ consists of multiple modules; aside from intelligent 3D modeling, it is also used for CAD conversions via neutral files.
In 1998, CSA started developing PanoMap® laser scanning technology. Recently, CSA launched a comprehensive product suite of software, provided as individual modules for scan registration, management, viewing, and interfacing to other platforms. These programs run on standard Windows PCs.
Since PanoMap® and Plant/CMS™ are database-driven technologies, they easily integrate with 3D CAD and other databases, such as P&ID, drawings, and photographs, all which are registered precisely with the laser scan model.
